The history of Giacon S.R.L. ("Giacon") dates back to the late 1930s, when the founder, Quinto Giacon, embarked on a career marketing bar appliances in and around Lazio. By the end of the 1950s, Quinto had expanded the scope of the business to include selling furniture to coffee houses, and by the late 1960s, this had become the core business of the company. In 1978, Quinto Giacon became sole agent in the Rome area for Industria Frigoriferi Italiana ("I.F.I", Italian Refrigeration Industry).
Today the company continues to thrive, under the successful leadership of Quinto's sons, grandsons and great-grandsons. With up to fourteen employees and many external freelancers, Giacon combines the warmth and commitment of a family business with a competence and professionalism that is the legacy of four generations of professional bar designers.
Through cooperation with I.F.I spanning more than a quarter century, Giacon's touchstone concept has been an integrated approach to the refurbishment of service and hospitality business premises, following each step in the process, whether the target be a coffee shop, a restaurant, a pastry shop, an ice cream parlour or even a hotel.
The first encounter between Giacon and a customer is usually a visit to the customer's premises, in order to develop an¡¡accurate sense of customer needs. Here the assigned Giacon coordinator takes measure of the premises, creating a detailed relief map, from which a plan for one or more projects, and a cost estimate is developed. Giacon's commitment to customer care continues even after the customer's placing of a final order. Giacon not only delivers and assembles the furniture, but remains available to the customer for after sale assistance.
Fully recognizing that the most successful renovations and refurbishments are holistic in nature, Giacon considers it critically important to cooperate with external specialists on those aspects of refurbishment not directly related to furniture.
